Bereavement Services Team

As Manager, Russell is ultimately responsible for ensuring that the Bereavement Services Team consistently provides a high level of service. Russell has over 25 years experience and knowledge from all aspects of Bereavement Services.

Helen assists the manager to deliver the high standard that is expected from bereavement services. She leads on the public health funerals and is responsible for operational tasks. Helen has previous experience of working for a local Funeral Director.

Susi, oversees all tasks in the office and has accumulated a wealth of knowledge during the last couple of decades spent at the Cemetery & Crematorium. Happy to help with memorial appointments but specialising in the finances of Bereavement Services. Susi also has previous experience of working for a Funeral Director.

Wendy works Monday to Wednesday and is primarily based in the Office completing all administrative tasks and is always on hand to see families to discuss our range of memorials. Wendy also has previous experience of working for a Funeral Director.

Les carries out a variety of roles from working in the Office, meeting families for memorial appointments, overseeing burials, interments and scatterings, carrying out chapel duties and operating the cremators. Les also has significant previous experience working for a Funeral Director.

Michael carries out a variety of roles from working in the Office, meeting families for memorial appointments, overseeing burials, interments, and scatterings, carrying out chapel duties and operating the cremators. Michael predominately works on grave transfers, and has worked in many Bereavement Services facets for over 30 years...

Zara carries out a variety of roles from working in the Office, meeting families for memorial appointments, overseeing burials, interments and scatterings, and carrying out chapel duties. Zara has a wealth of customer service experience.

Paul carries out a variety of roles from working in the Office, meeting families for memorial appointments, overseeing burials, interments and scatterings, carrying out chapel duties and operating the cremators. Paul is our longest serving employee and has amassed considerable knowledge during that time.

Sean uses his technical skills in operating our cremators and has done for fourteen years. He also works in our office performing administration tasks and dealing with customers. He looks after the book of remembrance and our book room.

Boots is a friendly regular visitor, especially to the Crematorium, often found lying on a radiator in the Winter months and sprawled out on the flower court in the Summer months.

Led by Rob, the Grounds Team are here everyday maintaining the Cemetery and Gardens of Remembrance along with all our grave-digging.
