The tree maintenance works within the scattering lawns of our Gardens of Remembrance are continuing. The majority have been lifted and in the worst cases some have been felled under the guidance of our Tree Inspector. We have in the last couple of days had the stumps of the felled trees ground out, this has resulted in a slightly raised hump of wood chippings which will remain in situ as the area is likely to settle and subside in the coming weeks. We appreciate and apologise that the area currently looks a little untidy however the ground will soon recover and overall the works will benefit the Gardens of Remembrance for many years.
